For the price, which was a few bucks, it’s not a total ripoff compared to some other IPTV apps that charge monthly subscriptions. But I hate that I couldn’t try the “Pro” features first—there’s a free version of StbEmu, but it’s so limited I found it useless for my project. The paid version gave me access to multiple playlists and no ads, which is what I needed, but I still feel like I paid for a gamble. If your IPTV provider works with it, great, but if not, you’re out the money. For my budget, I’d rather pay for a month of a streaming service than risk an app that might not support my provider.

Security & Privacy

This app asks for permissions like storage and network access, which makes sense for playing streams and saving playlists. But I’m paranoid about IPTV apps because some of them have been known to log your traffic or share data. I checked the privacy policy in the app settings, and it’s pretty vague—just says they collect “usage data” without much detail. I don’t love that. Since I’m using it with a legal IPTV service for work, I’m not too worried, but if you’re streaming shady channels, I’d keep your VPN on. The developer isn’t a huge company, so I doubt they’re selling my info, but I also wouldn’t be shocked if they were. For a paid app, I expect a clear statement, and this one left me guessing.
