First Impression
The app’s concept—centralizing pet health records and appointments—is a sensible one for pet owners managing multiple schedules. However, the initial experience leaves much to be desired. The sign-up process requests a significant amount of personal information before the user can explore any features, which may feel intrusive. The interface design appears dated, and loading times are noticeably slow, which can dampen initial enthusiasm for the app.
What It Does Well
Despite its shortcomings, the app does offer a few functional elements. The core feature of storing pet records works as intended; for example, uploading a PDF of a vaccination record and having it remain in the pet’s profile is straightforward. The reminder function, while basic, can be effective—setting a reminder for a flea treatment, for instance, does generate a notification. These features represent the bare minimum of what the app promises, but they function reliably in limited scenarios.
Where It Falls Short
The app struggles significantly in its primary functions. Booking an appointment is unreliable: selecting a time slot often results in a prolonged loading spinner, with no confirmation provided afterward, leaving users uncertain whether the booking was completed. The navigation is unintuitive; logging a simple medication, such as a deworming pill, requires multiple steps through nested menus (Health Log → Medications → Add New → scrolling through an extensive drug list), which should ideally be a two-tap process. Additionally, tapping a notification for a reminder can cause the app to crash, indicating fundamental stability issues that undermine its utility.
Is It Worth the Price?
The app is free to download, and its current quality reflects that pricing. In its present state, it would not justify any cost, as even simple tasks can consume an unreasonable amount of time. If the developer addresses the stability issues and redesigns the navigation for efficiency, a modest premium version could eventually be considered. For now, the free price tag is appropriate given the app’s limited functionality.
Developer & Support
User reviews in the App Store consistently report the same freezing and crashing problems, with some complaints dating back several months. The developer’s update notes tend to be vague, citing general “performance improvements” without addressing specific recurring issues. This pattern suggests that support and ongoing development may not be keeping pace with user needs.
