About HoMeYe Pro
HoMeYe Pro aims to simplify household management by combining shared lists, calendars, and a basic budget tracker into a single free app. Developed by XVIM TECH, it targets families looking to replace scattered notes and forgotten tasks with a centralized digital tool. The core concept is promising, but execution has notable gaps.
Core Features
The app’s primary function is shared task lists. Users can create lists, assign tasks to specific family members, and set due dates. A calendar view allows dragging tasks to different days, which is useful for weekly planning. A simple budget tracker is also included, suitable for quick overviews of spending categories but not robust enough for detailed financial management.
Real-World Use
In practice, the app works well for straightforward scenarios—such as receiving a notification when a family member adds an item to a shared shopping list. However, the user experience has friction. Completing a task requires two taps (selecting the task, then tapping a small checkmark) rather than a single tap. Scrolling through completed tasks can become laggy, and some interface icons are unintuitive, leading to confusion when reassigning tasks between users.
Pricing & Value
The app is free with no subscriptions or paywalls, which is a clear advantage. However, the monetization model relies on ads. A persistent banner ad occupies the bottom of the screen, and full-screen video ads interrupt navigation between sections, such as switching from the task list to the calendar. These interruptions can disrupt workflow and make the app feel less polished.
Updates & Support
Customer support is responsive but slow; inquiries submitted through the app may take several days to receive a helpful reply. The app has received at least one update since launch, indicating ongoing development, which is a positive sign for future improvements.
Data & Privacy
The app requires access to notifications and other device permissions. Users concerned about data handling should review the privacy policy carefully, as the app’s data practices are not immediately transparent.
