I haven’t paid a penny yet, and I’ve been able to make perfectly nice videos. The watermarks are small and at the end of the video, so they don’t ruin anything. If you want the really professional look, you could pay, but for everyday use, the free version is more than enough. I’d guess the subscription is around $5 or $10 a month — I saw it pop up once but ignored it. For me, sticking with free works just fine.

I haven’t needed to contact support because the app worked fine for the most part. That one freeze I mentioned wasn’t a big deal. Tempo asked for permission to access my photos and videos when I first used it, which makes sense for a video editor. It also asked for microphone access if I wanted to record voiceovers. I don’t use that feature so I denied it, and the app still works perfectly fine. I checked the privacy policy link in the settings — it was a long legal document I didn’t fully understand, but it didn’t look shady. I didn’t get any weird spam emails or ads after installing it. The app does show some ads, but not too many, and they’re not for sketchy stuff. For a free app, I’m comfortable with how they handle my information.
