No apology, no acknowledgment of the specific error. It felt like a copy-paste answer. I cleared the cache, and the show still didn’t load. I replied back, and it’s been two days with no follow-up. Honestly, for a big company like NBCUniversal, I expected better. If you run into a real problem, don’t count on quick help. Here’s where I get annoyed. I always check an app’s permissions before using it. Telemundo asks for access to your location even when the app isn’t open. Why does a streaming app need my location in the background? I denied that right away. It also requests permission to track your activity across other apps and websites. That’s a red flag for me. I read their privacy policy—it’s dense and full of vague language about sharing data with “affiliates” and “partners” for ads and analytics. It basically says they collect your device ID, viewing history, browsing habits, and maybe even your contacts if you give permission. For a free app, I understand they need to make money somehow. But there’s a difference between serving ads and harvesting data. I don’t trust that they’re being upfront about everything. I still use the app because I need it, but I turned off every non-essential permission and I use a VPN sometimes. If you care about your privacy, you should do the same.
