Play Tube - Block Ads on Video
Which video platforms does Play Tube support for ad blocking?
Play Tube works on YouTube, Vimeo, and several other video platforms. It blocks pre-roll, mid-roll, and banner ads, so you can watch content without interruptions.
Does Play Tube allow background playback for audio?
Yes, Play Tube supports background play. If you lock your phone while listening to a podcast or interview on YouTube, the audio keeps playing, which is great for commuting or multitasking.
What should I do if videos load slowly or the app crashes?
First, make sure you have a stable internet connection. If issues persist, try restarting the app or clearing its cache. The app is generally very stable, so crashes are rare.
Why are some ads still appearing in my videos?
Play Tube blocks ads on supported platforms like YouTube and Vimeo, but it may not work on every site or embedded player. If you see an ad, double-check that you're using the app's built-in video player rather than a browser.
How does Play Tube compare to ad-blocking browsers like Brave or Firefox with extensions?
Play Tube is a dedicated video player that focuses on a smooth, ad-free experience without the extra clutter of a full browser. It’s more lightweight and intuitive for watching videos, while browsers can be clunky and require more setup.
