First Impression

I got this app because my boss wanted me to start tracking work trips in one place. Right off the bat, it looked fine. Not super fancy, but the main screen was simple enough to figure out. I booked my first flight to a conference in Atlanta without too much trouble. It felt like any other basic app, which was honestly all I wanted. I just needed it to work without a bunch of fuss. For the first few months, that’s pretty much what it did.

What It Does Well

The best part is having everything in one spot. I can look up flights, find a hotel near where I need to be, and even book a car, all without jumping between a million tabs on my phone. It remembers my payment info, so checking out is quick. I also like that it saves all my past itineraries. Last month, I needed the address for that hotel in Denver I stayed at back in March, and I found it in two taps. When everything is running smoothly, it does exactly what it says it will. It makes planning the boring parts of a trip pretty painless.

Where It Falls Short

The smooth feeling doesn’t last. The app gets slow, especially when you’re trying to check in for a flight. More than once, I’ve been staring at a spinning wheel 24 hours before takeoff, panicking that I won’t get a good seat. One Tuesday evening, the app just crashed three times in a row when I was trying to pull up my boarding pass. I had to finally just use the airline’s website. The little maps they have for airports are useless, too. They’re so zoomed out you can’t tell where anything is. It’s these little frustrations that add up and make you not want to rely on it.

Is It Worth the Price?

Well, it’s free, so you can’t really complain about the price tag. For a free app that bundles your travel stuff together, it’s okay. I wouldn’t pay a single dollar for it in its current state, though. The bugs and slowness would drive me crazy if I’d actually spent money on it. As a free tool, it stays on my phone because it’s marginally better than having nothing organized. But if a better free option came along that felt more solid, I’d switch in a heartbeat.

Developer & Support

This is the part that really disappointed me. I had a weird double charge show up on my card after a hotel booking. I used the “Contact Support” button in the app, explained what happened, and sent a screenshot. I got an automated reply saying they’d get back to me. Two days went by. I sent another message. Finally, after almost four days, I got a real person who just asked for the same info I’d already sent. They fixed it eventually, but the whole process felt slow and dismissive. When you’re dealing with money and travel plans, you need support you can actually count on. I don’t feel like I have that here.

Privacy & Safety

I don’t dig too deep into the fine print, but the app asks for a lot of permissions like always knowing my location. I get why it wants that for maps and deals, but it still feels like a lot. I see ads inside the app for rental cars and hotels, which is obviously how they make money since the app is free. I’m careful and only use my credit card, which has good fraud protection. It feels safe enough for booking travel, but I’m not putting my social security number in there or anything. You just have to accept that they’re using your travel habits to show you ads.

Frequently asked questions
What features does My Breezeline offer for booking travel?

My Breezeline lets you book flights, hotels, and rental cars all in one app. It also saves your payment info for quick checkout and stores past itineraries, so you can easily look up details from previous trips.

Can I view my past trip itineraries in the app?

Yes, the app saves all your past itineraries, making it easy to find things like hotel addresses or flight numbers from earlier trips. For example, you can pull up a hotel you stayed at months ago in just a couple of taps.

Why does My Breezeline get slow or crash when I try to check in for a flight?

The app can become sluggish and sometimes crashes during flight check-in, especially close to departure time. If this happens, try using the airline's website directly as a backup to access your boarding pass.

How do I get help if I'm double-charged for a booking?

You can contact support through the app's "Contact Support" button, but be prepared for a slow response—it may take several days. To speed things up, have your screenshots and booking details ready, and follow up if you don't hear back quickly.

How does My Breezeline compare to other free travel planning apps?

My Breezeline is a decent free option for bundling flights, hotels, and car rentals, but its bugs and slowness make it less reliable than some competitors. If a smoother free alternative comes along, many users would likely switch.
