Navigation is mostly intuitive, though I did get confused once when I accidentally tapped “share” instead of “download” and sent a blank link to my mother-in-law. That was my fault, not the app’s. I’m using the free plan and it’s been fine for our needs. You get a decent amount of storage, but I’ve noticed larger video files won’t upload unless I compress them slightly. My brother-in-law pays for it because he shares huge music project files, and he told me it’s worth it for the extra speed and no limits. For a family like ours that just stores photos and school papers, the free version does the job. I wish the free tier had a little more room for video, but you can always delete old stuff to make space.

I haven’t contacted support personally because the app hasn’t broken on me. The app updates every few months, and they usually fix small bugs or tweak the layout. If I ever did need help, I’d probably check the app store reviews first since that’s where I look for quick answers. The developer seems active, which gives me confidence.

I’m cautious about where I put family photos and documents, so I checked before committing. MediaFire offers end-to-end encryption and two-factor authentication, which made me feel better about uploading the kids’ reports and medical records. You can set passwords on individual shared links too, which I do when I send something sensitive to the school nurse. They also have file versioning, so if I accidentally overwrite a file, I can go back to an older copy. That saved me once when my son edited a homework document and messed up the original. Privacy feels solid here, but I still avoid uploading anything super personal like Social Security numbers.
