About Drive Mad

I downloaded Drive Mad last Tuesday because my son was sick and I needed something mindless to do while waiting for his medicine to kick in. I just wanted a simple game, no story, no complicated controls. This fit the bill perfectly. It’s not a racing game at all. It’s more like a puzzle where you have to drive a wobbly truck across these crazy, obstacle-filled tracks without flipping over. The developer, Fancade, made something that’s honestly just goofy fun. I found myself playing for ten minutes here and there throughout the day, which is exactly what I needed.

Features & Highlights

The best part is how the cars handle. They feel heavy and tippy, which makes every turn and hill a real challenge. You unlock different vehicles as you play, like a monster truck that bounces all over the place. Each one forces you to drive differently. The levels are wild—one has you balancing on a giant teeter-totter, another is just a narrow path over a pit. There’s no violence or iffy content, just physics-based silliness. The graphics are bright and cartoonish, which is great for seeing what’s coming next, even on my phone’s screen. It’s the kind of challenge that makes you laugh when you fail, not get mad.

User Experience

My first try was a disaster in the best way. I picked the basic pickup truck, hit the gas on the first level, and immediately rolled it trying to go around a bend. I actually snorted laughing. The controls couldn’t be simpler: a gas pedal, a brake, and a steering wheel. My eight-year-old watched me play for a minute and instantly understood it. He kept begging for a turn. We played together on the couch yesterday afternoon, taking turns and laughing at the spectacular crashes. The sound effects, like the engine whine and the crunch of metal, add to the comedy. It runs perfectly smooth on my Samsung Galaxy A54 with no lag or crashes.

Pricing

The game is totally free to download. You earn coins by finishing levels, and you use those to unlock new trucks and tracks. There are ads, but they only pop up if you choose to watch one for a coin bonus after a level, or if you crash and want to restart from a checkpoint. I never felt like I *had* to watch an ad to keep playing. There are options to buy coin packs, but I haven’t spent a dime and I’ve unlocked plenty of stuff just by playing. For a free time-killer, it’s very fair.

Updates & Support

I’ve only had it for three days, so I can’t speak to long-term updates from personal experience. Looking at the app store page, other reviews mention the developer adds new levels sometimes, which is a good sign. I haven’t had any bugs or reasons to contact support. The app just works, which is all I really ask for. It feels like a finished, polished product, not something buggy they just threw out there.

Security & Privacy

As a parent, I always check the permissions. Drive Mad doesn’t ask for anything weird—no access to my contacts, photos, or location. The privacy policy linked in the store looks standard for a free game with ads. It says they collect some data for advertising purposes. I’m comfortable with that for this type of app. There’s no social media linking or chat features, so there’s zero risk of my kid interacting with strangers. That’s a huge plus for me. It feels safe and self-contained.

Frequently asked questions
What makes the vehicle handling in Drive Mad so unique?

The cars feel heavy and tippy, so every turn, hill, or bump requires careful throttle and steering control. Each vehicle, from the basic pickup to the bouncy monster truck, handles differently, forcing you to adapt your driving style to each new challenge.

What kinds of obstacles and levels can I expect?

Levels are wild physics-based puzzles with obstacles like giant teeter-totters, narrow paths over pits, and ramps that test your balance. The bright, cartoonish graphics make it easy to see upcoming hazards, and the silly crashes often make failing more fun than succeeding.

The game crashed or froze on my phone—what should I do?

First, make sure your device meets the minimum requirements and that you have the latest version of the game installed. If it still crashes, try clearing the app cache or restarting your phone, as the game runs smoothly on most modern devices like the Samsung Galaxy A54 with no reported lag.

Why does my truck keep flipping over so easily?

That’s by design—the physics make the vehicles deliberately wobbly and top-heavy to increase the challenge. To avoid rolling, ease off the gas before turns, use the brake gently, and steer smoothly instead of jerking the wheel.

How does Drive Mad compare to other driving games like Hill Climb Racing?

While both are physics-based driving games, Drive Mad focuses more on balancing and puzzle-like obstacle courses rather than distance or speed. The controls are simpler (gas, brake, steering) and the tone is goofier, with laugh-out-loud crashes instead of competitive racing.

✗  Cons
✗ The ads, while optional, can tempt kids to click.
