I had an issue about two weeks in. I bought some coins to unlock a chapter, and the coins didn’t show up. I was pretty annoyed—that’s my money gone. I contacted support through the app’s help center. It took a long time. I sent my request on a Wednesday, and I didn’t get a response until the following Monday. That’s five days. That’s way too slow for a billing issue. When they finally replied, the person was helpful. They asked for a screenshot of my purchase, I sent it, and they credited the coins in another two days. So the support itself is decent, but the wait time is ridiculous. I’d like to see a live chat or at least a response within 24 hours. Also, the app doesn’t have a phone number or email listed publicly, so you’re stuck with the in-app form. That feels limiting.

Privacy & Safety

I’m not a privacy nut, but I pay attention. Dreame asks for a lot of permissions. It wants access to your storage, your contacts, your location, even your camera. I denied most of those, and the app still works fine. So that’s good. But the privacy policy is a wall of text. I skimmed it. They collect usage data, reading habits, device info, and they share it with third parties for advertising. That’s pretty standard for free apps, but it’s still annoying. I also noticed they track how long you spend reading each chapter. That feels creepy. On the safety side, the user comments and reviews are moderated, but I saw a few inappropriate ones. Nothing too bad, but if you let a kid use this, keep an eye out. Overall, I’d say use a throwaway email and don’t grant unnecessary permissions. It’s not a disaster, but it’s not squeaky clean either.
