First Impression

I downloaded this on a Tuesday morning after my friend Bob kept going on about it. He knows I like a good crossword or Sudoku. Right away, the look of the game grabbed me. It’s all clean lines and cool blue colors, very modern. I figured out how to move the little man, Adam, by swiping. The first few puzzles were a nice, gentle introduction. I felt pretty clever getting past the first guard. But by the fifth or sixth level, I was already starting to scratch my head. The instructions are very minimal, which I usually like, but here it left me wondering what some of the icons on the screen were even for. I had to just tap things to see what happened, which felt a bit like fumbling in the dark.

What It Does Well

When you finally solve a tricky puzzle, the feeling is great. I remember one evening last week, I was stuck on a level with two guards and one of those laser walls. I must have tried twenty different paths, moving Adam back and forth. My wife asked what I was muttering about. Then it clicked—I had to hack a little flying drone to get in the guard’s way. I actually said “aha!” out loud. The game is really good at giving you that moment of satisfaction. It makes you stop and think, plan your moves like you’re playing chess. I also appreciate that I paid my five dollars upfront and that was it. No ads popping up, no asking for more money to unlock the next chapter. It’s all just there, a complete package.

Where It Falls Short

My biggest gripe is that the game doesn’t explain itself well enough. New elements like different enemy types or security nodes just appear, and you’re left to guess how they work through trial and error. For someone like me who isn’t a hardcore gamer, that’s frustrating. I don’t want to waste ten minutes because I didn’t understand a rule the game never told me. The menus are another issue. Trying to restart a level or go back to the map isn’t as clear as it should be. The buttons are small and sometimes I’d accidentally exit a puzzle entirely when I just wanted to start it over. A simpler, clearer menu would make a world of difference.

Is It Worth the Price?

For five dollars, I got a good two weeks of solid brain exercise, and I haven’t even finished all the levels yet. Compared to buying a fancy coffee, it’s lasted a lot longer. If you enjoy puzzles that make you stop and think, and you don’t mind a bit of frustration figuring things out on your own, then yes, it’s worth it. It’s a quality game without any sneaky costs later on. I wouldn’t pay more than five bucks for it, though, especially since it seems like the developers aren’t adding anything new to it.

Developer & Support

I did have one problem where the game froze on my Galaxy S23. It was just stuck on a loading screen. I couldn’t find a fix in the settings, so I emailed the support address listed in the app store. I heard back after three days, which felt like a long time to wait. The person who replied was polite and asked for a screenshot, which I sent. They suggested clearing the app’s cache, and that did the trick. So they were helpful in the end, but don’t expect an instant answer. The app is now run by Deca Games, who seem to just be keeping the lights on. It’s not a game you get for constant updates.

Privacy & Safety

I always check the permissions an app asks for. This one only wanted access to my device’s storage, which I assume is for saving my game progress. It didn’t ask for my contacts, location, or anything else personal. That’s a big plus in my book. I didn’t have to create an account or log in with anything, which I prefer. It’s just the game, on my phone, with my saved puzzles. Nothing about it felt invasive or worrying, which is how all paid apps should be.
