The core feature is a blocky sandbox where you build and decorate a house for your cat. You can customize your cat with colors and hats, send it on timed exploration trips to collect items, and watch it interact with the furniture you place.

You tap to move your cat and use simple controls to place walls, furniture, and decorations block by block. It's very stripped-down and easy to start, but placing objects precisely can be finicky, so you might need patience to get things perfectly centered.

The touch detection can be a bit off, especially when trying to center items like windows. Try zooming in as much as possible and tapping slowly; sometimes moving your cat to a different angle before placing helps the snap-to-grid work better.

First, make sure your app is updated to the latest version from the App Store. If it still crashes, try closing other apps in the background and restarting your phone. If the problem persists, reinstalling the app usually fixes most stability issues.

Unlike Neko Atsume's passive collection of visiting cats, Cat Simulator focuses on active building and customization of a single cat's home. It's less about collecting rare cats and more about creative construction, though both have timed exploration mechanics that reward patience.
