About BedrockTogether (Pro)
I used to mess around with the official Minecraft friend system on my phone, and it was a pain. My buddy Mark would be on his world, and I’d spend ten minutes trying to get in, typing stuff wrong, giving up. I got BedrockTogether Pro because I was tired of that Friday night frustration. It’s a simple app with one job: connect me to servers and friends without the headache. After three days, it’s already saved me so much time and annoyance. It doesn’t try to be anything fancy, and that’s the best part.
Features & Highlights
The main thing is the server list. You open it up and there’s a bunch of popular worlds right there. You can see how many people are playing and what the server is about. No more googling IP addresses and hoping they’re right. Tapping “Join” just opens Minecraft and puts you right in. The friends list is great too. I added Mark, and now I can see when he’s online and what server he’s on. One tap and I’m joining his game. I also saved our favorite creative server to my Favorites so I don’t have to search for it again. There’s a chat thing in the app, but we just use our regular group chat to talk.
User Experience
It just works. That’s the whole review, really. Last night, Mark texted me “get on the parkour server” at like 8 PM. Before, I’d have to ask him for the address, he’d send a long number, I’d type it in wrong, he’d have to send it again. This time, I opened BedrockTogether, went to the server browser, found “Jump Mania” in the list, tapped it, and was playing with him in under a minute. The app itself looks plain, but everything is where you’d expect it to be. Nothing lags or freezes on my Galaxy S23. It does the one thing it promises and gets out of the way.
Pricing
It costs a few bucks. I think it was $3.49? I tried the free version first for a day. It works the same but has a small ad banner at the bottom. The ads weren’t crazy, no videos popping up, but I liked the app enough that I just bought the Pro version to get rid of them. It’s a one-time thing, no monthly subscription, which I really like. For the amount of hassle it removes, it felt like a fair price.
Updates & Support
I had one small issue where the app didn’t seem to connect to Minecraft right after I first installed it. I wasn’t sure if it was me or the app. I sent an email to support from the contact link in the app. I didn’t hear back for a couple of days, which was a bit longer than I hoped, but when they did reply, it was a real person. They gave me clear steps to check my phone’s settings, and that fixed it. The app has updated once since I got it, which is good to see the developer is keeping it running.
Security & Privacy
I thought about this because it connects to Minecraft. As far as I can tell, it doesn’t ask for anything weird. It needs network access to find servers, obviously. It doesn’t ask for my Minecraft login or anything like that. The privacy policy in the app store looks standard. It feels like it’s just a tool that helps the two programs talk to each other, not something trying to grab my data. I’m comfortable using it.
How does the server browser work in BedrockTogether Pro?
The server browser shows a list of popular Minecraft worlds with player counts and descriptions, so you don't need to hunt for IP addresses. Just tap 'Join' on any server, and it opens Minecraft and connects you automatically.
Can I add friends and see when they're online?
Yes, you can add friends like Mark to your friends list, and the app shows you when they're online and which server they're on. Tapping their name lets you join their game with a single click.
What should I do if the app won't connect to a server?
First, make sure your Minecraft and internet connection are working fine. If the server list isn't loading, try closing and reopening the app, as it usually resolves temporary glitches.
If I accidentally delete a saved favorite server, can I get it back?
Unfortunately, there's no undo button for removing favorites, but you can easily find the server again using the server browser. Just search for it or browse the list and save it to your Favorites again.
How does BedrockTogether Pro compare to the official Minecraft friend system?
The official friend system often requires typing long IP addresses and can be frustratingly slow to connect. BedrockTogether Pro simplifies everything with a one-tap join feature and a curated server list, saving you time and hassle.
