Backdrops - Wallpapers
What are the standout features of the Backdrops app?
Backdrops offers a massive, curated collection of wallpapers from both developers and a community of artists. Key features include a 'Daily Wallpaper' update, a favorites system, the ability to follow artists, and a one-tap wallpaper set function for a seamless experience.
How does the 'Daily Wallpaper' feature work?
The 'Daily Wallpaper' provides a fresh, curated wallpaper each day. You can set it directly from the app and even add a widget to your home screen for instant access to the daily update, making it a convenient routine.
I sometimes experience a delay loading my favorites. Is this a known issue?
Yes, some users report a brief delay where the favorites list takes a moment to repopulate, particularly after an app update. This is usually a minor, temporary glitch that resolves itself quickly.
Are the ads in the free version intrusive?
The free version includes ads, typically as a banner at the bottom or a brief interstitial when setting a wallpaper. While present, they are generally not considered deal-breaking for most users.
How does Backdrops compare to just searching for wallpapers on Google?
Unlike generic web searches, Backdrops offers a curated, high-quality gallery with unique art from a dedicated community. It provides a more organized, discoverable experience with features like daily updates and artist followings, which standard searching lacks.
