About Axonorn

I downloaded Axonorn because my old reminder app started glitching out and showing me notifications for stuff I’d already done. It was driving me crazy. I saw Axonorn on the Play Store and figured, free is free, let’s give it a shot. I’ve been using it on my Samsung Galaxy for about two weeks now to keep track of my work shifts, grocery lists, and when I need to pay my bills. It’s made by Tentang Kita, which I hadn’t heard of before, but the app looked simple enough in the pictures.

Features & Highlights

The best part is how it connects to my phone’s calendar. I put in “Oil change Saturday 10 AM” as a task, and boom, it shows up in my Google Calendar. I don’t have to write things down twice anymore. Making lists is easy. I have one for “House Stuff” and another for “Work.” I can just drag tasks between them, which feels natural. There’s a timer thing too, but I only used it once to see how long I was actually scrolling on my phone at night (it was embarrassing). The stats page is kind of fun—it shows you how many tasks you finished in a week. Last Thursday I finished seven things and it gave me a little confetti animation. Felt good.

User Experience

It just looks clean. No weird colors or buttons everywhere. When I first opened it, I knew how to add a task right away. The font is nice and big, which I appreciate. One thing that really worked was last Tuesday. I was adding a reminder to call my mom for her birthday, and the app suggested I set it for the evening since it noticed I usually add personal tasks after work. That was smart. It’s not all perfect, though. Took me forever to figure out how to turn off the reminder sound for my grocery list. I kept poking around in settings and finally found it hidden in a menu called “Profile & Alerts.” Should be easier.

Pricing

It’s free. No ads popping up, no “Go Premium!” banners every five minutes. You get everything they have. I’ve tried other to-do apps that lock the good features behind a paywall, so this is a huge plus. For a free app, it does way more than I expected. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything, which is rare.

Updates & Support

This is where my experience got a bit sour. The app itself is fine, but I ran into a problem where it stopped syncing with my calendar for a day. I emailed their support from the contact link in the app. I got an auto-reply instantly, which was okay. But then I waited. Two days later, I got a real reply that just said “Please check your internet connection and try again.” That was it. My internet was fine, everything else on my phone worked. I wrote back and never heard anything. I restarted my phone and the sync just started working again on its own, but the whole thing left a bad taste. I don’t feel supported if something bigger goes wrong.

Security & Privacy

It asked for permission to see my calendar and store files, which makes sense since that’s what it does. I got it from the official Play Store, so I’m not too worried. I skimmed the privacy policy and it seems like they don’t sell your data, but honestly, those things are always written in lawyer-speak. I’m giving it access to my schedule, so I’m trusting them a bit. I wish the support thing didn’t make me question that trust.

Frequently asked questions
Can Axonorn sync tasks with my phone's calendar?

Yes, Axonorn connects directly to your phone's calendar, like Google Calendar. When you add a task with a time, it automatically shows up in your calendar so you don't have to enter it twice.

How do I create and organize lists in Axonorn?

You can create separate lists for different categories, such as 'House Stuff' or 'Work,' and easily drag tasks between them. This makes organizing your to-dos feel natural and intuitive.

How do I turn off the reminder sound for a specific list in Axonorn?

The reminder sound setting is located under 'Profile & Alerts' in the app's settings menu, which can be a bit tricky to find. Once there, you can adjust or mute sounds for individual lists.

Why does Axonorn suggest specific times for my tasks?

Axonorn learns your habits over time and suggests optimal times based on when you usually add similar tasks. For example, it might suggest evening for personal reminders if that's when you typically handle them.

How does Axonorn compare to other free reminder apps like Google Keep?

Unlike many free apps, Axonorn has no ads or premium upsells, and it includes a built-in timer and stats page with confetti celebrations. It also syncs directly with your calendar, which Google Keep doesn't do as seamlessly.
