AR Drawing : Trace Anything
How does the tracing feature work in AR Drawing?
You simply point your phone's camera at any object or image, and the app displays its outline on your screen. You can then draw directly over those lines, making it easy to replicate shapes like a teacup pattern or a photo from a frame.
What is the layers feature and how do I use it?
Layers let you separate different parts of your drawing, like putting the outline of your cat on one layer and the fur details on another. This way you can color or edit one part without messing up the rest, which is great for keeping shapes clean.
Why does the app sometimes lose tracking or not work well?
The app needs good, even lighting to lock onto your subject—dim lamps or evening light can confuse it. If your hand shakes or you have to hold the phone for a long time, the picture may wobble, so try steadying your phone on a table or using a stand.
I keep accidentally tapping the wrong buttons. Is there a fix?
The buttons are small and close together, so it's easy to hit 'new brush' when you meant 'undo.' To avoid this, take your time tapping and consider using a stylus. The app doesn't have a way to resize buttons, but practicing slow taps helps.
How does AR Drawing compare to other tracing apps like SketchAR?
Unlike SketchAR, which often requires you to select a pre-loaded image, AR Drawing lets you trace anything in real-time using your camera. While SketchAR has more advanced editing tools, AR Drawing is simpler and feels more like magic for tracing everyday objects, though it depends more on lighting.
