Yahoo Sports
How do I set up alerts for when my favorite team scores in Yahoo Sports?
Open the app, go to your favorite teams section, and select the team you want alerts for. Then tap the bell icon to customize notifications for scoring events—it will buzz your phone every time they score, just like it did for the reviewer's grandkid's baseball team.
Can I check my Yahoo Fantasy Football team directly inside the Yahoo Sports app without downloading another app?
Yes, you can. The Yahoo Sports app integrates seamlessly with Yahoo Fantasy Sports, so you can view your fantasy roster, scores, and stats right inside the main app. No extra downloads are needed—just log in with your Yahoo account and your fantasy league will appear.
My live scores stopped updating in Yahoo Sports—what should I do?
First, try closing and reopening the app or refreshing the scores by pulling down on the main screen. If that doesn't work, check your internet connection and ensure the app has permission to run in the background. If the issue persists, contact support through the app's help section—though expect a reply in a few days based on user experiences.
How do I find NBA standings in Yahoo Sports if I can't see them on the main screen?
Simply swipe right on the bottom navigation bar to access the standings section. The app keeps its layout consistent, so once you learn this gesture, you'll find standings for any league quickly without digging through menus.
How does Yahoo Sports compare to other free sports apps like ESPN or The Score in terms of ads and simplicity?
Yahoo Sports is designed for simplicity with big buttons, easy-to-read text, and a stable layout that rarely changes. Unlike some competitors that bombard you with pop-up ads or constantly rearrange menus, Yahoo Sports keeps ads as banners or pre-roll videos that don't block scores or news, making it ideal for users who just want quick access to scores and headlines.
