Westside
What kind of discounts or deals can I find on Westside?
Westside lists local businesses and events with perks like student discounts, such as the 10% off at a cafe mentioned in the review. You can filter by categories like 'Student Discounts' to see what's available near you.
How does the map view and event calendar work?
The map view pins all listed businesses and events on a map, making it easy to see what's close by instead of scrolling through a boring list. The event calendar includes free or low-cost options like gallery openings and park clean-ups, not just big concerts.
Why aren't I getting notifications about deals near me?
Check your app's notification settings under 'Settings' to ensure they're enabled for Westside. If they're on, try restarting the app or your phone, as some users find that helps refresh location-based alerts.
The app keeps crashing when I try to filter by category—what can I do?
First, make sure your app is updated to the latest version from the Google Play Store. If it still crashes, try clearing the app cache in your phone's settings under 'Apps' > 'Westside' > 'Storage'.
How does Westside compare to Yelp for finding student-friendly deals?
Westside focuses more on budget-friendly and student-specific perks, like the 10% student discount at a cafe, while Yelp is broader and often cluttered with paid reviews. Westside's community section also lets you ask for cheap pizza slices, which feels more tailored to saving money.
