Ticketmaster UK Event Tickets
Can I use the Ticketmaster app to access my tickets without printing them?
Yes, the app's mobile ticket system is its strongest feature. You can pull up your barcode in the 'My Events' section and scan it directly at the venue gate, which is a lifesaver if you forget your printed tickets or are running late.
How do the interactive seating maps work on the Ticketmaster app?
The interactive seating maps let you zoom in on different sections and use a stage icon to estimate your view from a specific seat. This is especially helpful for expensive events at large venues like the Royal Albert Hall, as it can prevent you from buying a seat with a restricted view.
Why does the Ticketmaster app become slow or crash during high-demand ticket sales?
The app often struggles under the pressure of major stadium tours or presales, becoming sluggish and unresponsive. If you encounter the 'spinning wheel of doom' or a frozen seat map, you may need to force-close and restart the app, though this usually costs you your place in the digital queue.
Why are there so many extra fees added to my ticket price at checkout?
Ticketmaster adds 'service fees' and 'order processing charges' at the final step of checkout, and there is no way to remove them. These fees can add over £10 to a £65 ticket, and the breakdown is intentionally confusing, making it feel like a ransom rather than a convenience fee.
How does Ticketmaster compare to alternatives like See Tickets or AXS for buying event tickets?
Ticketmaster offers the widest selection of major events, especially for stadium tours and venues like the O2 Arena, but its app is notorious for crashing under high demand. Competitors like See Tickets or AXS often have simpler interfaces and lower fees, but they may not carry the same exclusive events, leaving you with no choice but to use Ticketmaster for must-see shows.
