Text Vault - Texting App
How do the self-destructing messages and message scheduler work in Text Vault?
Self-destructing messages disappear after the recipient reads them, making them ideal for sharing temporary info like a WiFi password. The message scheduler lets you set a specific time for a text to be sent, so you can schedule birthday wishes or reminders in advance.
Can I customize the look and feel of the app, like changing the theme or font?
Yes, Text Vault offers several customization options, including a dark theme and custom fonts. You can personalize your chat screen to make the app feel more your own, which adds a nice touch to the secure messaging experience.
What should I do if my messages aren't sending or I'm having trouble with cloud sync?
First, make sure you have a stable internet connection—Text Vault queues messages offline and sends them automatically when you reconnect. For cloud sync issues, check that you're logged into the same account on all devices, and if problems persist, use the in-app support form; the developer usually responds within 36 hours.
How do I recall a message after I've already sent it, and does it work reliably?
To recall a message, tap and hold on the sent message and select the recall option. The feature works well for quickly retracting a message after a typo or mistake, but it's best used immediately—once the recipient has read it, recall may not be as effective.
How does Text Vault compare to WhatsApp in terms of privacy and features?
Both apps offer end-to-end encryption, but Text Vault goes further with self-destructing messages and a local passcode lock for extra security. While WhatsApp is more widely used, Text Vault is completely free with no subscription, though it does show small banner ads, whereas WhatsApp has no ads.
