Taimi - LGBTQ+ Dating & Chat
How does Taimi's profile bio feature help older users find meaningful connections?
Taimi allows you to write a proper, detailed bio with plenty of room for text, not just emojis or flashy pictures. This helps you describe your interests, like birdwatching, and attract people who want genuine conversation rather than quick swipes. The reviewer used this to match with someone who shared their hobby.
Can I filter profiles by age and interests on Taimi to avoid younger users?
Yes, Taimi offers filters for age and interests, and the reviewer successfully set theirs to show only people over fifty. This feature helps you narrow down matches to your preferred age group, making the app feel more mature and less like a teen-focused platform.
Why do my messages keep disappearing or not loading in Taimi, and how can I fix it?
This is a common issue where messages fail to load or load twice, often due to app crashes or navigation glitches. Try restarting your device and ensuring the app is updated, but if the problem persists, contact support with specific details—though the reviewer found their copy-paste reply unhelpful.
How do I find my messages in Taimi when the navigation keeps changing?
The reviewer noted that the messages button moves unpredictably between the bottom bar and hidden menus, which can be frustrating. To locate it, check both the main bottom icons and any side or top menu options; if it's missing, try closing and reopening the app to reset the layout.
How does Taimi compare to other LGBTQ+ dating apps like Grindr for older users?
Unlike apps that feel designed for younger crowds with excessive bells and whistles, Taimi offers a calmer color scheme, detailed bios, and age filters that help older users find meaningful connections. However, its navigation issues and frequent crashes on devices like the OnePlus 11 can be more frustrating than simpler alternatives.
