Rider
How do I save a location like my home or work address for faster booking?
After your first ride to a location, you can save that address by tapping the saved locations option in the app. The next time you need a ride, just tap the saved name like 'Work' and your trip is set without retyping anything.
Does Rider show the driver's route on a map while I'm waiting?
Yes, the ride-tracking screen displays your driver's route on a clean, lag-free map so you can see exactly where they are. The map also shows nearby drivers as little cars, which is both functional and easy to read.
Why can't I add more than one credit card to my Rider account?
Rider currently only allows a single credit card to be saved at a time, which can be inconvenient if you need to split rides between personal and work cards. As a workaround, you'd have to manually swap cards in settings before each ride, though we hope a future update adds multi-card support.
What should I do if the app crashes or glitches during a ride?
Most users report that Rider is very stable and doesn't crash during rides, but if you do experience a glitch, try force-closing the app and reopening it. If the issue persists, make sure your app is updated to the latest version and restart your phone—this resolves the vast majority of problems.
How does Rider's pricing compare to other ride-hailing apps like Uber or Lyft?
In our tests, Rider often came in cheaper—for example, an $11.50 estimate versus $13.75 on a competitor for the same route. While prices vary by time and location, Rider consistently offers competitive rates without sacrificing reliability or driver quality.
