Reuters News
What are the key features of the Reuters News app?
The app provides fast, factual news without subscription paywalls. Key features include a comprehensive Markets tab for financial data, a save-for-later bookmarking tool, Reuters TV video clips, and offline reading for downloaded articles.
Can I customize my news feed in the Reuters app?
You can select topics like Technology or Politics, but users report the main feed remains dominated by general world news. The customization options are limited and may not effectively filter your primary news stream.
How can I manage the app's notifications?
Notifications, especially for 'Top Stories,' can be excessive. To manage them, you should go into your device's notification settings for the app and selectively disable alert categories, as the in-app controls may be insufficient.
Why does the app's interface feel difficult to use?
The interface can be frustrating due to unclear navigation icons and a somewhat outdated design. Users commonly report tapping the wrong bottom menu items, such as confusing 'Video' for the back button to their feed.
How does Reuters News compare to other free news apps?
Compared to other free apps, Reuters excels with fast, unbiased reporting and no subscription traps. However, its user experience is hampered by intrusive ads and a less polished interface, whereas competitors might offer better customization and design.
