Receive SMS Online Temp Number
How do temporary phone numbers in this app actually work?
You pick a shared number from a public list, use it to receive a verification code, and the code appears in the app's inbox. Numbers are borrowed temporarily and can't be reclaimed later, so it's best for one-time sign-ups.
Can I send SMS messages or make calls from the temporary numbers?
No, the app only receives SMS messages—you cannot send texts or make calls. It's strictly a one-way tool designed for grabbing verification codes quickly.
Why can't I use the same number again for a second verification?
Once you leave a number, it goes back into the shared pool and is no longer yours. The app doesn't let you reserve or reclaim a number, so for any account that needs a follow-up code, you'll need a different solution.
What should I do if a number isn't receiving any messages?
Try picking a number labeled as 'active' with a recent message timestamp—those are more likely to work. If it still fails, just switch to another fresh number from the list.
How does this app compare to paid services like Burner or Hushed?
This app is free and perfect for quick, one-time codes, but you get no ownership or privacy. Paid services let you keep a number long-term and send texts, which is better for accounts that require ongoing verification.
