Overmortal
How does the branching story work in Overmortal?
Your choices in dialogue and actions can have lasting consequences. For example, helping a wandering merchant early on might lead to that same merchant giving you a huge discount on gear in a different city weeks later, making each playthrough feel unique.
Can I really build my character in different ways?
Absolutely. You can invest in stats like intelligence and charm to talk your way out of fights, or go full brawler for a combat-focused approach. This lets you and a friend play the same quests in completely different styles.
The text and icons in the inventory and skills screens are really tiny. Is there a way to fix this?
Unfortunately, Overmortal doesn't currently have a built-in UI scaling option. You can try increasing your phone's display zoom in system settings, which may help make the text and icons more readable during management screens.
I'm having trouble with co-op dungeons—my friend and I keep failing. Any tips?
Co-op dungeons require good coordination, like one player solving light puzzles while the other defends. It might take a few tries to get the rhythm down, but once you communicate and find your roles, beating them feels very rewarding.
How does Overmortal compare to other mobile RPGs like Genshin Impact?
Overmortal focuses more on choice-driven storytelling and character builds rather than open-world exploration. It's lighter on system requirements and perfect for short sessions like a train ride, while still offering deep co-op and gorgeous watercolor-style art.
