MiniShorts
Can MiniShorts handle precise slow-motion and speed ramping for workout form checks?
Yes, MiniShorts offers frame-by-frame trimming and advanced speed control that lets you ramp speed up or down at specific points in a clip. This is perfect for slowing down just the sticking point of a heavy squat and then returning to real-time, making it easy to analyze your form.
How does the audio ducking feature work in MiniShorts?
The audio ducking feature automatically lowers the background music volume when it detects other important audio, like a coach's voice in a clip. This helps keep your commentary or natural sound clear without manually adjusting levels, and it’s a thoughtful tool for polishing recap videos.
Why does my custom text layer disappear when I apply a color filter, and how can I fix it?
This is a known bug where adding a text label before a color filter can cause the text to vanish. The workaround is to apply the color filter first and then add your text label afterward, which avoids the issue entirely until the developers patch it.
Why does MiniShorts always open to the 'For You' feed, and can I go straight to the editor?
MiniShorts forces you into the 'For You' feed every time you open the app, which can be frustrating if you just want to edit. Currently, there’s no setting to bypass the feed, so you’ll need to manually navigate to the editor each time, as the app prioritizes consumption over creation.
How does MiniShorts compare to CapCut for making quick workout recap videos?
MiniShorts excels with precision tools like frame-by-frame trimming and speed ramping that feel more intuitive for detailed edits, while CapCut offers a broader range of templates and effects. For a focused, no-frills editing experience without social media distractions, MiniShorts is better, but CapCut is stronger for all-around creative projects.
