Metya
How do the shared team lists work in Metya?
You can create shared lists like groceries or chores with roommates or coworkers. Each person can assign tasks, set due dates, and check items off in real-time, which helps cut down on miscommunication. It's simple but effective for keeping everyone on the same page.
What features does Metya offer besides task management?
Metya includes a habit tracker where you can log daily activities like water intake, and it shows a chain of green checkmarks to keep you motivated. It also has a basic note function with a decent voice-to-text option for quick entries, all available without a paywall.
Why does Metya send so many duplicate notifications, and how can I fix it?
Some users report receiving the same alert multiple times, like eight buzzes for a completed team task, which can be overwhelming. A temporary fix is to mute notifications for the app in your phone settings, though the developers need to fix the underlying bug.
Metya keeps crashing when I edit recurring tasks. Is there a workaround?
Yes, the app has been known to crash when editing recurring tasks, which can be frustrating. As a workaround, try deleting the recurring task and creating a new one from scratch, or edit it on the web version if available, until a patch is released.
How does Metya compare to Todoist for personal and team use?
Metya is a strong free alternative to Todoist, especially for team features like shared lists and habit tracking without a paywall. However, Todoist feels snappier and has fewer bugs, while Metya's notification issues and lag can be a dealbreaker for power users.
