I downloaded MeTV directly from the official Apple App Store, so I feel confident about its safety. Their privacy policy is fairly standard for a free, ad-supported app. It states they collect data on what you watch to serve relevant ads and improve recommendations. I do see targeted ads based on my other browsing, so there’s some cross-app tracking happening. You can’t opt out of ads, but you can limit ad tracking through your device’s settings, which I’ve done.
