LumaFusion: Pro Video Editing
Can I use videos and photos straight from my phone's gallery in LumaFusion?
Yes, you can import media directly from your phone's gallery without moving files into special folders. This makes it easy to quickly pull in clips and photos for your project.
Does LumaFusion support color filters like LUTs to improve video quality?
Absolutely, LumaFusion includes LUTs (color filters) that can transform the look of your footage. For example, using a 'Warm Sunset' LUT on a cloudy clip can make it appear as if it was filmed during golden hour.
How do I create a smooth cross dissolve between photos or clips in LumaFusion?
LumaFusion calls cross dissolves something else, but you can find it by looking for transition effects in the timeline. Once you locate the correct transition, applying it is straightforward and makes your photos fade in and out smoothly.
What should I do if the app seems too complicated at first?
Stick with it for a bit because LumaFusion has a steep learning curve, like a spaceship control panel. Once you learn where key tools are, like trimming clips by dragging edges or adjusting audio, you'll find it's a powerful tool worth the effort.
How does LumaFusion compare to subscription-based video editors like Adobe Premiere Rush?
LumaFusion costs a one-time fee of $29.99, while many competitors require ongoing subscriptions. It offers professional-grade features like multi-track editing and LUTs, making it a better long-term value for serious hobbyists or semi-pros who want to avoid monthly payments.
