Lock Me Out - App/Site Blocker
What is Strict Mode and how does it work?
Strict Mode is a key feature that prevents you from bypassing a block by restarting your phone. Once enabled, it locks the block in place, forcing you to wait out the timer, which helps break the cycle of procrastination.
Can I schedule blocks in advance with this app?
Yes, the app includes a Scheduler feature that allows you to set automatic blocks for specific apps or websites on a recurring schedule. For example, you can block all social media from 9 AM to 5 PM on weekdays automatically.
What happens if I try to open a blocked app?
When you try to open a blocked app, you are met with a stark, red timer screen showing how much time is left on the block. This interruption is designed to make you aware of the habit and discourage attempts to access the distraction.
How do I contact support if I have a problem?
You can use the contact form within the app to reach support. Based on the review, you can expect a clear, helpful reply from a real person, typically within 48 hours.
How does Lock Me Out compare to other blockers that use gentle reminders?
Unlike apps that rely on gentle reminders, Lock Me Out is designed to be a strict enforcement tool with features like unbypassable Strict Mode. It acts as a digital padlock to create a hard barrier against distractions, not just a nudge.
