Laudate
Does Laudate require a login or subscription to access its main features?
No, Laudate is completely free and does not require any login or subscription. You can access the full Bible, daily readings, Liturgy of the Hours, Catechism, and rosary prayers right away without hitting any paywalls.
Can I use the parish finder to locate nearby Mass times?
Yes, Laudate includes a parish finder that quickly shows you nearby churches and their Mass times. In the review, a user found three options within a 10-minute drive in under a minute.
The app looks outdated and I can't find a specific prayer easily—what can I do?
The design is functional but can feel cluttered since it uses a simple text menu from 2010. Try using the search bar or browse by category like 'Prayers' or 'Devotions' to locate specific prayers faster than scrolling through the list.
Why do some audio prayers or rosary recordings sound unclear?
Some audio clips in Laudate were recorded with older equipment and may sound muffled or hard to understand. If you're struggling, you can still follow along with the text version of the prayers, which is always clear and available.
How does Laudate compare to other Catholic apps like Hallow or iBreviary?
Laudate is more basic in design than Hallow but offers a wider range of free resources like the full Catechism and a parish finder without any ads or subscription fees. While Hallow has polished audio and guided meditations, Laudate wins on sheer value for being completely free.
