KiraStudio
What features does KiraStudio offer for creating custom-sized projects?
KiraStudio allows you to set a custom width and height for your project by typing in the exact numbers, which is great for specific needs like newsletter headers. It also supports saving in multiple formats, so you can easily export your finished design as a picture for email or other uses.
Does KiraStudio have brush tools and are they easy to use?
Yes, KiraStudio includes a variety of brush tools with vibrant colors that users have described as 'really good.' While they may feel buried under the app's complexity for beginners, they can be fun and effective for creative tasks like making birthday cards once you explore them.
Why is it so hard to find the fill or background color option in KiraStudio?
The fill or background color option is hidden in a small menu that appears when you tap a layer and swipe upward from the bottom of the screen. Many users find this unintuitive because there is no obvious 'fill' or 'paint bucket' button, so you may need to experiment with layer interactions to locate it.
Where is the undo button in KiraStudio, and why is it hard to reach?
The undo button is located in the top corner of the screen, which can be difficult to reach on larger phones like the Google Pixel 7, especially during one-handed use. This placement often forces users to stretch their thumb or adjust their grip, making it a common frustration for quick edits.
How does KiraStudio compare to free ad-supported apps like the one I used before?
Unlike free apps that may bombard you with ads, KiraStudio offers an ad-free experience for a one-time fee of $8.99, which is a major advantage for focused work. However, it has a steeper learning curve and less intuitive layout compared to simpler free tools, so it's better suited for users willing to invest time in mastering its features.
