IMDb Movies & TV
How can I use the watchlist feature to track movies and shows?
You can add any title to your watchlist by tapping the bookmark icon on its page. The watchlist syncs across devices, and you can add a home screen widget for quick access, making it easy to track everything you want to watch.
Does the IMDb app have a parents guide for movies?
Yes, the app includes a detailed Parents Guide for most movies, which goes beyond a simple rating. It breaks down content like violence, language, and nudity, helping you decide if a film is appropriate for your family.
Why does the app feel cluttered with ads and extra content?
The interface can feel busy because it shows ads, promotional content for Freevee, news, and trending lists alongside search results. To focus on what you need, try using the search bar directly or scrolling past sections you don't use.
How do I fix inaccurate or missing personalized recommendations?
Recommendations improve as you rate more titles and add items to your watchlist. If they still seem off, try clearing the app cache or updating the app, as older versions may have less refined suggestions.
How does IMDb compare to Rotten Tomatoes for checking movie ratings?
IMDb focuses on user ratings and detailed cast/crew info, while Rotten Tomatoes aggregates critic and audience scores. IMDb is better for deep-dive trivia and actor lookups, but Rotten Tomatoes is stronger for quick consensus on critical reception.
