GlowVerse: Bible & Daily Verse
Can I customize the daily verse notification time and translation?
Yes, you can set the daily verse notification to any time you like—many users find a morning time like 7:30 AM works well. You can also choose from multiple Bible translations, including the NIV and The Message paraphrase, right in the settings.
How does the highlight and search feature work?
The search function lets you type keywords like 'anxiety' and instantly pulls up relevant verses such as Philippians 4:6-7. You can also highlight verses with color-coded labels—for example, yellow for comfort or blue for guidance—to organize your favorite passages.
Why isn't my daily verse notification appearing at the scheduled time?
First, check that your device's notification settings allow GlowVerse to send alerts. If it's still not working, try restarting the app and ensuring your time zone is set correctly in the app's preferences—this usually resolves the issue.
The app feels slow or crashes when I search for a verse. What should I do?
Try closing the app completely and reopening it, as this often clears temporary glitches. If the problem persists, make sure you're running the latest version of GlowVerse from your app store, as updates frequently fix performance bugs.
How does GlowVerse compare to other daily Bible verse apps like YouVersion?
While YouVersion offers a broader library of reading plans, GlowVerse focuses on a simpler, calmer experience with beautiful verse graphics and a strong sense of quiet community through shared bookmarks and notes. It's ideal if you want a peaceful, distraction-free morning ritual rather than a full-featured study tool.
