Fahlo Animal Tracker
Does Fahlo Animal Tracker show a live GPS feed of the animal?
No, the app does not provide a live GPS feed. Instead, the animal's location updates every few days via satellite, which makes the tracking feel more like following a story than watching a frantic dot on a map.
How does the Conservation Impact section work, and do I have to buy anything?
The Conservation Impact section transparently breaks down how money from optional bracelet sales funds specific efforts, like satellite collars. You can use the free app without ever making a purchase and still see exactly where your support would go.
My animal's location hasn't updated in a few days—is something wrong?
This is normal. The app relies on satellite tags that transmit every few days, so pauses between updates are expected. If it's been over a week, try force-closing and reopening the app, or check the animal's profile for status notes.
The app feels slow or won't load the map. What should I try?
First, make sure you have a stable internet connection, then close and reopen the app. If the map still won't load, try restarting your phone or reinstalling the app—your tracked animals will be saved to your account.
How does Fahlo compare to other animal tracking apps like Wildlife Nearby?
Unlike Wildlife Nearby, which focuses on local sightings and crowdsourced data, Fahlo lets you follow a specific, named animal on a satellite-updated map. It also offers a Conservation Impact section with transparent funding details, making it more educational and personal.
