EAGLE Security UNLIMITED
What are the main features of EAGLE Security UNLIMITED?
The app includes a built-in VPN, a malware scanner, a data breach checker, a secure browser, and a junk file cleaner. The VPN is the standout feature and works well for stable connections, but the browser and cleaner feel like filler.
Does the VPN work reliably for public Wi-Fi?
Yes, the VPN connects and provides a stable connection, as tested at an airport. It's a solid option for securing sketchy hotel or airport Wi-Fi without a subscription.
Why is the app's interface so hard to navigate?
The interface looks simple but buries key settings like VPN protocol changes under vague menus like 'Network Preferences' and 'Advanced Protection.' Changing a simple setting can take ten minutes instead of seconds.
How do I stop the app from sending cheerful notifications?
You can disable notifications in your phone's system settings under the app's notification permissions. The app sends messages like 'Your device is safe and sound!' which can be annoying if you prefer silent operation.
How does EAGLE Security UNLIMITED compare to subscription-based VPNs like NordVPN?
EAGLE is a one-time $5.49 fee with no recurring cost, unlike NordVPN's yearly subscription. However, NordVPN offers a more polished interface, faster servers, and better customer support, while EAGLE's VPN works adequately but lacks advanced features and ease of use.
