DROPS by SoleSavy - Sneakers
What kind of alerts does DROPS provide for sneaker releases?
DROPS sends push notifications the moment a release goes live on major retailers like SNKRS, Foot Locker, and boutique shops. You can customize alerts for specific brands, such as New Balance or Jordan Brand, and they include direct links, retail prices, and sometimes early links or restock hints from the community.
How does the price tracking feature work in DROPS?
The price tracking tool shows a graph of a sneaker’s resale value over time, helping you spot trends like price spikes after a celebrity sighting. This lets you time your sale for maximum profit, as I did with a pair of Dunks after seeing a clear upward trend.
Why am I not getting alerts for smaller, regional sneaker releases?
DROPS focuses mainly on major and mid-tier releases, so smaller regional drops may not always trigger notifications. If you’re after super-niche brands, it’s a good idea to cross-check with a dedicated Discord server, but for 90% of hyped releases, the app has you covered.
What should I do if a DROPS alert link doesn’t work or the item is sold out?
First, try opening the link in a different browser or refreshing the page, as some store links can be finicky. If the item is sold out, check the community feed for restock hints or raffle info shared by other users—DROPS often surfaces those details quickly.
How does DROPS compare to using Twitter or Discord for sneaker drops?
Unlike juggling multiple Twitter accounts and Discord servers, DROPS centralizes release calendars, alerts, and price tracking into one clean feed. It’s less cluttered and more reliable for timely notifications, though dedicated Discord communities may still offer deeper intel for ultra-rare or regional releases.
