Draw Easy: Trace to Sketch

You can trace from the app's built-in library of animals, flowers, and simple objects, or use your own photos from your camera roll. It places a see-through layer over the image so you can draw directly on top.

The app provides a few basic brushes, an eraser, and options to change the color and thickness of your lines. It also saves completed drawings to an in-app gallery for easy access.

This is a common issue with Draw Easy—the panning is not smooth when you zoom in to trace details, which can cause your lines to land in the wrong place. To minimize this, try tracing at a lower zoom level or restarting the app before a session.

Unfortunately, the ads are relentless and appear between every drawing session, often with loud sounds. The only reliable fix is to enable Airplane Mode before opening the app, which blocks the ads from loading while still letting you trace saved images.

Unlike many competitors, Draw Easy keeps things very simple with no social features or confusing menus, making it safer for kids. However, it suffers from poor performance and excessive ads, whereas apps like Sketchpad offer smoother zooming and fewer interruptions, though they often cost a small fee upfront.
