DODO - Live Video Chat
How does the random video chat matching work on DODO?
You simply tap the big button, and within seconds you're connected face-to-face with a stranger from anywhere in the world. It's designed for spontaneous conversations, so you can jump right in without any scheduling or swiping.
Can I use text chat and filters during a video call?
Yes, DODO includes a text chat option within the video call, which is handy for sharing links or song titles without shouting. There are also fun filters and effects, like cat ears, that can help break the ice and make the start of a conversation less awkward.
Why do some people immediately disconnect when I match with them?
This can happen because random matching moves very fast, and some users may just be testing the app or accidentally swiping. It's not personal—just keep tapping the button, and you'll find more engaging conversations, like chatting about music or seeing live sketches.
Does DODO drain your phone battery quickly?
The app runs smoothly overall, but longer video chat sessions can drain your battery a bit faster than usual. To extend your chat time, try lowering your screen brightness or closing other apps in the background.
How does DODO compare to Zoom or Discord for group chats?
DODO's group chat function works okay for small groups, but it's more basic than dedicated apps like Zoom or Discord. It's really built for spontaneous one-on-one video chats with strangers, not for hosting planned meetings or gaming sessions with friends.
