Cleaner Guard
What cleaning tools does Cleaner Guard include?
Cleaner Guard features a powerful junk cleaner that found over 11 GB of cache and old files on a Pixel 7, including a surprising 4.2 GB from Telegram. It also has a battery usage monitor that can identify battery-draining apps, like a weather widget constantly pinging your location, and an app manager for uninstalling pre-loaded apps.
Does Cleaner Guard have a duplicate photo finder?
Yes, it includes a duplicate photo finder that correctly identified dozens of near-identical shots from a recent trip, saving the user from a manual cleanup. This tool works accurately and helps free up storage space quickly.
Why does Cleaner Guard keep asking me to scan every few hours?
The app shows a constant 'health score' and sends frequent recommendations to scan, which some users find pushy and anxiety-inducing. This is a common complaint, but you can safely ignore these prompts and only scan when you actually notice a slowdown or storage issue.
Will Cleaner Guard slow down my phone with ads?
The free version includes mostly banner ads at the bottom of the screen, which are not very intrusive, though occasionally a full-screen ad may appear. The ads are a trade-off for the free cleaning features, but the core tools still work effectively without major performance hits.
How does Cleaner Guard compare to other cleaning apps like CCleaner?
Cleaner Guard focuses more on real-time battery monitoring and duplicate photo detection, while CCleaner is known for its deeper system registry cleaning. Cleaner Guard's interface is simpler with a big central scan button, making it more beginner-friendly, though its constant scanning prompts can feel more aggressive than CCleaner's quieter approach.
