Catholic Missal Offline
Can I use Catholic Missal Offline without an internet connection?
Yes, the app stores everything locally, so you can access the full Order of Mass, daily readings, and prayers even in airplane mode. This makes it reliable for use during Mass or in areas with poor connectivity.
Does the app allow me to bookmark individual prayers or readings to custom lists?
Unfortunately, no. You can only save an entire day's liturgy as a favorite, not a single prayer or reading. If you like to organize personal prayer sets, this limitation might be frustrating.
Why does the app sometimes flicker and jump me back to the top of the day's liturgy?
This appears to be a bug that can occur when expanding certain sections, like the Prayers of the Faithful. A workaround is to scroll carefully and avoid tapping expandable areas quickly, as the issue may cause you to lose your place.
Can I customize the font style or size in Catholic Missal Offline?
Text size and contrast are decent for quick reading, but there are no options to change the font style or further adjust the size. The interface is functional but lacks the customization found in some other apps.
How does Catholic Missal Offline compare to other daily Mass apps like Laudate?
While Catholic Missal Offline offers a more complete offline library and a powerful search feature, Laudate provides a more modern interface and better bookmarking for individual items. If offline reliability is your top priority, this app is a solid choice, but Laudate is better for organizing personal prayer sets.
