Camy — Live Video CCTV

The live view usually connects in under five seconds from tapping the app icon. That speed is critical when you get an alert, so you can quickly confirm what's happening at your door or in your home.

Yes, you can draw specific motion detection zones within the camera's view. This lets you ignore activity outside windows or on the street while still monitoring the areas that matter, like your front porch or living room.

First, check your phone's notification settings for the app, as that's the most common cause. If that doesn't fix it, be aware that in-app support can be slow—some users report waiting two days for a reply—so also try restarting both the camera phone and your viewing device.

The two-way audio works well enough for short interactions, like telling a delivery person not to leave a package. It's not studio quality, but it gets the job done in a pinch.

Camy is free and turns an old phone into a security camera, which is a huge advantage if you have a spare device. However, dedicated cameras like Wyze have better support and more polished interfaces, while Camy's app design feels a bit utilitarian and its customer support is much slower.
