Cake Maker: Bake and Decorate
How do I start baking and decorating a cake in the app?
Simply tap the 'Bake a Cake' button on the main screen to jump right in. You’ll choose a pan, mix the batter, bake it, and then decorate with a wide variety of sprinkles, fruits, and candies using large, easy-to-tap buttons.
Can I save or share the cakes I create?
Yes, you can save your finished cakes to your device's photo gallery. The app also has a menu where you can view all your saved creations, though some users find that menu a bit cluttered compared to the main game.
Why are some items like cake stands and sugar flowers locked, and how do I unlock them?
These premium items are locked behind a currency system. You can earn coins by playing the game for a long time, or you can watch ads to unlock them more quickly. Some users feel the ads interrupt the peaceful gameplay experience.
I'm stuck on a mini-game like the cupcake matching one. What should I do?
Some mini-games have unclear instructions, so just tap around until you figure out the pattern—it usually works. The game is very forgiving, so you can undo mistakes easily without penalty.
How does Cake Maker compare to other baking games like Cooking Mama or Toca Kitchen?
Cake Maker focuses purely on creative cake decorating with a very simple, tap-based process, while Cooking Mama includes a wider range of cooking mini-games. Toca Kitchen is more about freeform food play, but Cake Maker offers more detailed decorating options and a relaxing, low-pressure feel.
