About Buffalo Wild Wings App

As someone who ends up at B-Dubs more often than I’d like to admit, I downloaded this app hoping to simplify my usual order of boneless wings and a side of curiosity. I’ve been using it for about six months now, mostly for pickup orders before heading home to watch the game. It’s become my go-to instead of calling in, but it’s not without its quirks.

Features & Highlights

The core features are what you’d expect, but a few stand out in real use. The Blazin’ Rewards program is integrated right into the ordering flow; I see my point total update almost immediately after I pay, which is satisfying. I love that I can save custom orders—my “Usual” is 10 boneless honey BBQ, crispy, with extra ranch, already saved so I don’t forget. The in-app exclusive offers are legit; last week I got a free order of pretzel bites just for using the app, which you don’t get ordering online through a browser. The store locator is basic but reliable for checking if my local spot is still open when the game runs late.

User Experience

Navigating the menu is straightforward, but I hit my first snag trying to customize. I wanted my wings “extra well-done” and had to dig into a special instructions box instead of a clear toggle. The checkout process is generally smooth, and Apple Pay integration works every time for me. However, I’ve had two occasions where the app froze after placing an order, leaving me unsure if it went through (it had, both times). The worst was during a major UFC fight night; the app was painfully slow, and my estimated pickup time jumped by 45 minutes after I’d already placed the order. For a regular Tuesday, it’s fine, but it buckles under real pressure.

Pricing

The app itself is free, which is great. Menu prices are the same as in-restaurant, but the real value is in the rewards and app-only deals. Earning points feels worthwhile—it takes a few orders, but I’ve redeemed points for a free dessert and a discounted entree. For a free app, the value is absolutely there if you’re a semi-regular customer. If you go once a year, you might not get much out of it.

Updates & Support

I see an update every month or two, usually with vague “bug fixes and performance improvements” notes. I haven’t noticed any major new features roll out during my time using it. When I had the order freeze issue, I used the in-app help chat. The response was automated at first, but I got a real person after about 10 minutes who confirmed my order was in the kitchen. It was resolved, but not exactly instant peace of mind.

Security & Privacy

I downloaded it directly from the official Apple App Store. The app requires an account and stores my payment info (with my permission), which is standard. Their privacy policy mentions using data for marketing and improving services. I do get push notifications about new promotions, which I opted into. I haven’t noticed any weird third-party ads within the app itself, which is a plus. It feels as secure as any other major restaurant app for storing a credit card.
