BSA Winterfest
How do I navigate the festival grounds using the BSA Winterfest app?
Just tap the Map option on the main screen. A big, colorful layout of the festival grounds appears with a blue dot showing your current location, making it easy to walk directly to any spot like the sledding hill or ice sculpture demo.
Can I set reminders for events I want to see?
Yes. Tap on any event in the Schedule, then tap the little star icon next to it to save it to your 'My Events' list. The app will send you a reminder before the event starts, so you don't miss it while grabbing hot chocolate.
Why can't I find a list of all food vendors in the app?
Food vendors are shown only as small icons on the map, with no separate list to browse. To find a specific vendor, like a coffee stand, you'll need to zoom in and scan the map for the correct icon.
The app keeps kicking me back to the main screen when I go back. How can I fix this?
This is a known issue where tapping the back button sometimes drops you all the way to the start instead of the previous screen. To avoid losing your place, try to navigate forward carefully and avoid rapid back-and-forth taps.
How does the BSA Winterfest app compare to the official Winterfest website for planning?
The app is much easier to use on a phone than the website, with big buttons and a live map showing your location. However, the website might offer a better way to browse food vendors in a list, since the app only shows them as map icons.
