Ascension: Catholic Bible
How do the daily readings work in the Ascension Bible app?
The app automatically loads the daily Mass readings based on the Church calendar, so you don’t have to search. When you open it in the morning, the readings are right there, making it easy to follow along with your breakfast or morning routine.
Can I listen to the Bible on this app, and is the audio any good?
Yes, the app includes an audio Bible with a calm, natural-sounding voice that’s perfect for listening during your commute. It’s not robotic at all, and you can switch between reading and listening smoothly without any interruptions.
What should I do if my highlights or notes aren’t saving?
First, make sure your app is updated to the latest version from your app store. If the issue persists, try restarting the app or your device, as the review notes the app is generally stable—crashes and lost notes were a problem with other apps, not this one.
How can I catch up if I miss a day’s reading plan?
The app sends a gentle notification reminding you that you missed a plan and asks if you want to catch up the next day. You can simply tap the notification or open the daily readings section to pick up where you left off.
How does Ascension compare to other Bible apps like YouVersion or Bible Gateway?
Unlike many free apps that clutter the screen with ads or require extra downloads for Catholic books, Ascension includes all Catholic books by default and has a clean, calm interface. It also offers integrated Catholic footnotes and a search that actually works, making it feel designed specifically for Catholic readers.
