ArtsWave
What kind of events can I find on ArtsWave?
ArtsWave focuses on local art and cultural events in Cincinnati, like ceramics demos and gallery openings. You can filter by date and event type to find exactly what interests you, and save events to get reminders.
Does ArtsWave have any unique features like AR?
Yes, ArtsWave includes an AR feature that lets you see how a piece of art would look on your wall. It’s a fun gimmick, but most users find the event calendar and artist profiles more useful day-to-day.
Why does ArtsWave ask for so many permissions, like location and contacts?
The app pushes for location, contacts, and photo library access to personalize your experience, but you can deny most of these and still browse events fine. If you’re privacy-conscious, use a throwaway email and only grant permissions you’re comfortable with.
My saved events aren’t syncing to my Apple Calendar. How can I fix this?
This can happen if ArtsWave’s calendar permissions are restricted. Go to your iPhone’s Settings > ArtsWave and make sure Calendar access is enabled, then try saving the event again.
How does ArtsWave compare to a general event app like Eventbrite?
ArtsWave is more focused on Cincinnati’s local art scene, so you’ll find niche workshops and demos that Eventbrite might miss. However, Eventbrite has broader event categories and doesn’t push for as many personal permissions.
